Christmas was different and amazing this year. This is the first time that we had Christmas at OUR house, we usually sped it up in Canada but we decided to switch things around and have my family come here for Christmas and we would spend the summer up there. It was fun having my parents and both my brothers here with us this is our first Christmas together as a family since my brother Nathan left on his mission.
My family drove from Calgary to Tucson... Straight ONLY stopping to get a quick bet to eat, they are crazy but I'm glad because they just made it in time for Christmas. They arrived on the 24th around 9:00pm and we didn't go to bed till 1:00am(even Jacob stayed up) we stayed up talking and enjoying time with Jacob.
We got up around 9:00am and opened gifts, we always love watching Jacob open his gifts it's so cute. The highlight of it was when Jacob opened his two special gifts from his tio's, his face was priceless when he finally opened his Buzz lightyear and Woody he looked at me and gave me and the rest of the family this cute little smile and an aww. He is obsessed with toy story and he loves it he brings Woody with him everywhere and when he gets a chance he will set and play with buzz. After opening gifts we had an amazing breakfast and got ready for the day. My parents took Jacob for a walk and played with his race car outside. I loved it. We had Christmas dinner and had other family join us, dinner was Delicious. We played with jacob and his new basketball hoop. Then we all went over to the basketball court and played some really ball.
From a previous post i mention we were going to Disneyland, well we did. It was AMAZING. we left Sunday morning early and drove to California. We were in aww when we saw our hotel my mom surprised us and we stayed at the Hilton in front of Disneyland the hotel was awesome and beautiful our room looked over part of California adventures, Jacob scared the hell out of me when he ran right into the window we were on the top floor. But that didn't stop him he loved looking out the window. After settling in we walked around Disney downtown and went to all the little shops around there.

DISNEYLAND! we had a great time there. We walked around and went on some rides, Jacob was looking around the whole time and stayed close to my mom when they bumped into goofy. He loved the rides my parents kept telling me that he kept awing. He didn't like the Pinocchio ride it was a little scary. But he sure did like the carousel, Stephen was with him and he didn't want to get off. During the first three rides my little brother Ben got lost and spent hours looking for us(he is 18, we laughed at him) so we finally found him and went for lunch. Yes we were sick of the baby rides so my parents took Jacob to see the parade and we went to the bigger rides. The day was ending and to top it we meet at our spot in front of sleeping beauty castle and gazed at the beautiful castle with the Christmas lights, it was amazing. We didn't stay for the fireworks Jacob was ready to get out of there and go to bed. We had an amazing time and i wont forget this trip for a long time.
To end our trip we went to Newport beach, I love the beach i could be there for days, Jacob agreed with me too. Even though it was cold and windy it didn't stop us we were the only ones that played in the sand and splashed in the water. It was a perfect moment for me and my little boy. We had a wonderful trip and thankful that we could spend Christmas together as a family!

That's right Jacob no longer takes a binky, only for his nap and bedtime. It has been a week since we have taken it away and he has not asked for it during the day. He is doing very well with the new change. Before we made the decision of taking it we talked to him and promised him if he does really good for a week he will get a surprise, well he has and today we went over to Walmart and he chose some hot wheels. Way to go Jacob!
