*Father's Day*

On Saturday Stephen and I took his dad out for Father's day. We did the usually dinner and a movie. During the movie i really wasn't feeling great i started getting some heavy duty contractions but i thought i was just having those braxton hicks that i have been getting for the past 2 weeks. Throughout the movie Stephen kept asking me if we needed to leave i told him no that they should be going away soon...yeah right they got worse and at the point were i started to cry. We left the movies and drove home they whole way home we timed the contractions and they were about 5 minutes apart and painful especially in my back area. We quickly got our bags (that have been ready for weeks) and we called the hospital. They told Stephen to keep timing for 2 hours if they don't go away by then to head down to the hospital. I was mad because i really wanted to get down there. We watched a 2hr movie and they diffidently were 3 to 5 mins apart and lasting for 2hrs. Finally we headed to the hospital they checked as in and hooked me up to the monitors to check the babies heart beat and the contractions. Stephen and I at this point we were just excited that it was finally time. The nurse checked me to see how far i was dilated i was only at a 1cm and 50% effaced. They gave me the option to stay at the hospital for 2 hrs and walk around and see if there was improvement or go home and sleep it off. By this time it's already 3:30am Stephen and I were so tired, we just wanted to sleep. The nurse gave me a sleeping pill to help me sleep through the contractions. We ended up sleeping over at Stephen's mom's house which is closer to the hospital then were we live. At 9:00am i woke up and i was still having contractions from the night before, we headed back to the hospital. They checked me again NO LUCK still a 1cm. We went walking around the hospital for an hour and got checked again, still nothing. We are home and just taking it one day at a time. Stephen was so sad he really wanted Jacob to be born on Father's day, but hey we both got to experience something special together and now we feel totally ready for our little one to come.

The drama of waiting for that little one to come is so hard. I hope everything goes smoothly for you with this delivery. I can't wait to hear he has been born, and see some pictures.
