9 month recall

Yesterday Jacob went to his 9 month doctor appointment basically to check his stats and to get tested to see if he is anemic.
We walked in the office and Jacob slowly started to freak out but then was calmed down when Stephen took him to the fish tank to look at the fishes. They called us back after 5 minutes and he started to freak out more we placed him on the weight table and he freaks out even more he wasn't at the point of crying but it was close. I was telling Stephen that this was the first time he has never freaked out going to the doctors, the nurse over heard as talking and told us that he is at that stage where he knows his surroundings and what is comfortable for him. His stats where pretty good...
  • Weight: 20lbs and 25-50 percentile
  • Height: 30 inches and 90 percentile
  • head cir: 45 1/2 and 50 percentile
After checking all his stats the doctor came in and did a full exam on him and asked a lot of questions about development. She said research have found out by 9 months they can determine if your child has autism or not. So she spent a good half hour asking Stephen and i questions about his development and if we had an concerns. The only thing we had to say was that he doesn't crawl yet and it looks like he has no interest in it. She said that it's perfectly normal and it looks like he will go straight to walking. She went around the room with him and walked and she pointed out that she wouldn't be surprised if he starts walking by himself by the end of next month, so that's pretty cool we will have a early walker. After checking out Jacob the doctor pretty much said he is healthy and he has no developmental problems!
So after the easy part came the hard part, it was time to take blood from little Jacob's toe. He did so GOOD, he didn't even cry! So now we wait till his 12 month appointment which is only 3 months away i cant believe we are almost there.
Heading to the doctorswaiting to get his shoothis poor little toebeing brave for mommymy little Jacob

He is so sweet. I can not believe how big he is. My Amanda did not crawl at all. She went straight to walking at 10 months. Sounds like Jacob will do the same.

Aubrey didn't crawl until she was 10 months and walk until she was 13 months. Every kid is different. Don't stress out. Kids tend to do things in their own time. Jacob is growing up fast!
