final cake#2

On Monday i had my final cake class for Wilton course#2, we made a basket wive cake with flowers that we made with Royal icing in our previous classes. We made the basket wive part in class and boy was it hard to grasp. Good thing we practice first then i was able to do it on the cake. The cake turned out really nice and i was happy with the final result.

I'm excited to continue on with these Wilton classes, next Monday i start up again with course #3 we will be working a lot with fondant.
After my class i met Stephen and Jacob at Stephens mom's house to have cake and ice cream for my birthday and we used this cake for my birthday cake, it was pretty yummy. Jacob got a taste of some of this cake but his favorite was sucking on the birds(made out of royal icing) he totally got a sugar high.
I had just a wonderful birthday and was blessed to spend it with my little family!
