Last week my parents came down from Canada and they spent a week with us and were able to attend Jacob's birthday party.
We had so much fun i have to say it was one of the best weeks ever. My parents of course spoiled us but more Jacob and bought him so much stuff. My parents aren't homebodies which is a good thing because we aren't either. We spent the days out going to the mall eating out and much more.
Jacob's party was a blast my parents were the best and cooked one of my favorite meals, some of our friends and family members came to celebrate. The kiddies had fun eating snow cones and playing in the kiddie pool. We are so thankful for those who came it was a fun day.
During the week Stephen had to work but it didn't stop us we headed to Phoenix and hit the malls, i love when my parents come because they buy us whatever we want, thanks mom and dad:)
Jacob has gotten VERY close with his grandpa and grandma and always wanted them to hold him there was some sweet moments that they shared together. one morning we were all in the guest bedroom were my parents were staying at and Jacob got up and gave my dad and good morning kiss and hug. My dad said that, that moment his heart just melt. He loves giving kisses and hugs to them and us. My mom even taught Jacob to say grandpa, it's more like "umpa" but it's still very cute when he says it.
Well our amazing week had to end sometime and today my parents had to leave. It was very sad and of course some tears were involved. After saying good bye Jacob started to notice that grandpa and grandma weren't in the car on our way back home he said"umpa" and the tears just came down and i couldn't stop crying. When we got home he said"umpa"again and we cried together and we cuddled and played with his new toys till Stephen got home.
I'm the luckiest girl to have such great parents that adore Jacob and love him, even though we live so far away we all just have this WONDERFUL bond. Love you mom and dad and thank you for all that you did when you were here.

It looks like you had so much fun. I am glad you had a nice visit with your parents. Very fun pictures.
Parents are the best. Glad you got some good quality time with them. I love that your dad and Jacob seemed to have the same shirt one in several of the pictures.

it looks like you had a great time!! your parents seem so sweet. i know what you mean about them getting attatched, my dad is one of elizabeths favorite people, they are really close. im glad his birthday went well, we were sad to miss it. hope we can do something soon:)
